Who are we?
APCU,
the Association of Personal Computer Users, was a pioneer
of the Chicago computing community. It "happened"
(as all user groups "happen") shortly after the introduction
of the IBM Personal Computer. Early participants were
mostly computer professionals who wanted a forum to
share experiences and help each other solve computer
problems.
To this day, the APCU consists of people who share
what they know about IBM compatible personal computers
with each other, answer one anothers' questions
and discuss the state of the personal computer industry.
We welcome new members to all of our meetings, which are usually held the last Saturday of each month.
APCU
is a not for profit 501(c)(3) corporation. It provides
a forum for its members' continuing education in the
nature and use of IBM-compatible personal computers
and related technology.
